A precision workspace for card magic

Know where every card is, after every step.

Build a routine as a sequence of cuts, shuffles, deals and forces. Mingle Mage tracks the deck after each action, so you can check, refine and repeat your method.

The ace of spades moves from 7th to 4th. Change the cut, and every later step updates.

Notes describe the effect, not the deck

Most method notes say what should happen, or what the audience sees. They do not say where a card is after the third action. Working that out by hand gets harder with every step.

After a false shuffle and a double cut, where is card 14?

How it works

No run button. The state is worked out as you edit.

  1. Set the starting deck

New deck order, a memorised stack, or any arrangement you save yourself.

  2. Add actions

Cuts, riffle shuffles, faros, deals, false shuffles, forces. Each with its own parameters.

  3. Inspect any step

See the exact order after every action. Change one step and everything after it recalculates.

What a notes app cannot do

Mingle Mage knows that a routine is a sequence of actions on a prop with a hidden state.

Observers and realities

Model what the audience believes next to what really happened, step by step.

Branches and repeats

Follow each choice a spectator can make, and loop a group of steps.

Compare inputs

Cut at 10 against cut at 30, side by side, with the first difference marked.

Follow a card

Highlight a card once and see it in every step, through every shuffle.

Repeatable shuffles

Random actions use a seed, so a routine replays the same way every time.

Share and keep

Read-only links and embeds you can withdraw. Export and import, including TCS notation.
